Health Check
Massage has been practised for thousands of years in many cultures. When the body is touched, receptors in the skin send messages to the brain causing the release of chemicals such as endorphins. These produce a sense of relaxation and wellbeing and can also relieve pain.
Massage also improves the flow of blood and lymph fluid and helps to eliminate waste products from the body. Massage can also help to stimulate the immune system.
There are many physiological and psychological health benefits of massage, however, for the protection of yourself and the therapist, all guests who wish to have a treatment will be asked to complete a short health questionnaire to ensure they are suitable for treatment.
There are a small number of cases where we are unable to provide treatment.
